Most importantly, we teach learning techniques and strategies that really work. We specialize in working with students with dyslexia and those with other academic issues. The Bend Learning Center is where evidence based methods meet education.
The Bend Learning Center is in a unique position to help your child and your family.
Children with dyslexia endure frustration and demoralization on a daily basis as they struggle to acquire skills that many of us take for granted. If your child is struggling with reading and writing, where can you go for help? Bend Learning Center exists to meet the unique needs of Central Oregon students with learning differences such as dyslexia and dysgraphia.
Starting with accurate assessment of your children's learning strengths and weaknesses, we provide the most effective, evidenced-based approaches to teaching students with learning differences. By combining results-oriented learning strategies with caring mentoring and significant attention to each child and family, we are able to effect significant growth in academic skills as well as add great value to the children's self-esteem.
Bend learning center now offers math tutoring for those struggling with fractions, decimals, and more! Math at the Bend Learning Center begins with an assessment of math skills. If they have a gap in fractions, that will be addressed at the student's current level. If a sixth grader needs to go back to 4th grade fractions this is where the learning will begin. The lessons are visual, illustrative to give the student a real world understanding of math.

“For me, dyslexia is not a disability. The unique strengths and characteristics of dyslexia allow me to think outside the box.’”
—Peter W. D. Wright, author and attorney who represents children with special educational needs (He struggled with dyslexia, dysgraphia and ADHD.)
"That's the real problem with kids who struggle with learning ... Some kids feel like they're stupid. I want them to know that they're not. They just learn differently. Once they understand that and have the tools to learn in their individual way, then they can feel good about themselves."
Charles Schwab, business leader/philanthropist
